In To A Dream

Ever since I came across imagery of sea dragons, I've wanted to capture them in something of a dream-like painting. They are so stunningly surreal to look at I can't get over that they are real and exist in our oceans. With this painting, I wanted to create a feeling that as you looked at the piece, you were stepping in to the dream with it. I wanted it to feel 'quiet', and yet full of gentle motion through the weeds and bubbles. I used my own hand as reference for the pose, and painted using Winsor & Newton watercolours and acrylic on cold pressed watercolour paper.
