Previous ProjectHarbour - Mermaid Illustration
I wanted to rework a sketch from over a year ago, that was used as part of an earlier painting. I always loved the elegant pose of the hands and so wanted to re-interpret the Mermaid on a slightly larger scale.
Created on Bockingford extra rough watercolour paper, using watercolours, coloured pencil and acrylics. It was an unplanned illustration so each part of it was completely organic in composition and colour. I really enjoyed taking an older piece of work in a new and different direction, and something I'd like to do again in the future.
