The Witching Hour

In folklore, the witching hour or devil's hour is a time of night, usually midnight, that's linked to supernatural events. During this time creatures such as witches, demons, and ghosts appear and are suggested to be at their most powerful. 

Inspired by this, I created a painting depicting a witch and nightfall together in unison, the joining of the hour to the witch. Created using Winsor & Newton watercolours on hot pressed paper.
