A private commission of a family pet dog. The client requested that it was painted with high detail, with lots of negative space above the dogs head to really exaggerate him looking up above his head, and to be as large as possible. Painting Benji's coat had it's challenging moments in getting the right balance of colours to make sure the likeness is as close as possible, but he is such a beautiful mixture of white, gold, and orangey-reds that it was a pleasure to recreate. The final piece measures 68 x 101cm, completed in Winsor and Newton watercolours and professional designers gouache.
