The death of Alan Rickman has hit us all pretty hard. Like with all famous men and women that we love for their talent and their characters, we find ourselves and our passions for film/music/books through them; we may not know them personally, but that doesn't diminish the loss we feel when they part this earth.
I have grown up watching this wonderful man in various films, but the characters he played that I loved deeply, were the Sheriff of Nottingham from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and Severus Snape from Harry Potter. This portrait was created on Bockingford 300gsm cold pressed paper with watercolours, acrylics and coloured pencil, finer details added digitally.
